For autumn and harvest festivals
Apples pressed, cider poured. Gate still moving.
Harvest festivals pull in families, food stalls and workshop leaders, often in an orchard or a field with patchy signal. Ticket Folk sells the tickets, keeps the gate moving offline, and sorts everyone who helps.
Join the waiting listHow it’s usually done
- Family tickets on one site, workshop places on another
- A gate queue that stops when the card machine loses signal
- Workshop leaders booked by email, one at a time
- No idea how many are coming until the day
Day tickets that keep moving.
Sell adult, child, family and dog tickets in one order. On the day, volunteers scan on their own phones, and check-in carries on when the signal drops.
- Adult, child, family and dog tickets
- Offline check-in on any phone
- Search by name, reference or car reg
Workshops with a line-up.
Apple pressing, willow weaving, wreath making. Workshop leaders apply to run a session and you pick the line-up from one list.
- One form for every workshop leader
- What they’ll run, and when
- Approve or decline with a note
Stalls and volunteers too.
Cider makers, bakers and craft stalls apply with their paperwork attached. Volunteers pick the jobs they’d like to do.
- Stall and catering applications
- Documents kept with each stall
- Jobs that show how full they are
How the year goes
- June: Copy last year’s festival. Open stall, workshop and volunteer applications.
- August: Tickets go on sale on the date you set. Watch sales as they come in.
- September: Approve your line-up. Every volunteer job shows who’s on it.
- Festival day: Scan, search and sell on the gate, with or without signal.
Questions
- Our orchard has no signal. Will check-in work?
- Yes. Each phone loads the guest list while it has signal, so scans and searches keep working when the signal drops. Check-ins catch up on their own once there’s a connection.
- Can people buy tickets on the day?
- Yes. Volunteers sell on the door from the same phones they scan with, so the day’s numbers add up with the ones sold online.
- Can workshop places be booked separately?
- Workshop leaders apply to run a session through your form. To sell places, make a ticket type for each workshop with its own limit.
- Who holds the ticket money?
- You do. Payments go through Stripe into your own account, not ours.
- What does it cost to sell tickets?
- Free for founding organisers while we’re starting out, with every feature, and for a year, 12 events or 1,000 tickets after our fee starts. Then 2.5% an order, never more than £2.50.
