For village fêtes

Teas, tombola and a dog show. Rota sorted.

A village fête takes a whole village to put on. Ticket Folk gives the committee one link for stalls and helpers, one list to read them in, and gate tickets if you charge.

How it’s usually done

A rota that fills itself.

List the jobs: teas, tombola, car park, cake stall, dog show ring. Helpers pick what they’d like to do from one link, and each job shows how many more you need.

Stalls in one list.

Craft stalls, plant sales and charity tables apply the same way, so the whole committee sees the same list instead of whoever picked up the phone.

Next year, already done.

Copy this year’s fête to next year’s date, and every job and setting comes with it, whoever’s on the committee by then.

How the year goes

  1. Spring: Copy last year’s fête and share one link for stalls and helpers.
  2. Early summer: Approve stalls. Watch each job on the rota fill.
  3. The week before: Every job shows who’s on it. Nobody doubles up on the teas.
  4. Fête day: If you charge on the gate, sell and check in from a volunteer’s phone.

Questions

Our fête is free to get in. Is Ticket Folk free?
Yes. We only charge when a ticket sells. Stalls, helpers and the rota cost nothing.
Our committee changes every year. What happens to the list?
It stays with the fête, not with a person. Copy last year’s fête and invite whoever is on the committee now.
Will this work for helpers who’d rather not fuss with an app?
Yes. There’s no app to download and no password. They fill in a short form from a link on any phone.
Can we take cash on the gate?
Yes. Record cash on the door from the same phone, so the numbers add up with anything sold online.
What does it cost to sell tickets?
Free for founding organisers while we’re starting out, with every feature, and for a year, 12 events or 1,000 tickets after our fee starts. Then 2.5% an order, never more than £2.50.
